PTA Mission Statement -
To make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
Bob Lewis Elementary PTA, BLE PTA for short, is a volunteer based organization dedicated to advocating for and enriching the lives of children and families in the BLE community. Our focus is to honor the PTA mission statement by planning, organizing, and sponsoring programs, events, and activities that engage and empower our families to build stronger relationships with each other and the community, so that every one of our children's potential can be a reality.
Ways we Engage and Empower
One way we promote engagement is by purchasing supplemental learning materials and programs like XtraMath and Reading A to Z to help all BLE students develop their math and reading skills whether at home or school.
We also fund student field trips for every grade, every year. These experiences greatly impact how our children see, understand, and interact with the world around them. They also create positive lasting memories linked to learning and education.
Providing our teachers and staff with classroom supply reimbursements helps to alleviate their out of pocket costs while ensuring that our BLE students are still provided with the materials needed to make their classroom experience the best it can be. Additionally, event reimbursements are vital in making beloved BLE community events like Trunk or Treat and the Spring Picnic fun and engaging for everyone.
Sponsoring school events such as the Bike Rodeo and Talent Show directly supports our students by encouraging participation, inclusivity, and supporting others while empowering them to be confident, independent, and most importantly, be themselves.
Booking amazing educational programs like The Creature Teacher and Dinosaur George for our students and families provides unforgettable shared experiences and brings our entire BLE community together to learn knew and exciting things about the world around us.
We rely wholly on the efforts of parent and teacher volunteers to forward our mission of making every child's potential a reality. The more members who volunteer small amounts of time to help with PTA programs, events, and activities, the more successful and enjoyable they'll be for everyone.
